Originally from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Dr. Luhere Mulume Jean Claude holds a degree in Biomedical from the Evangelical University in Africa /DRC and a Medical Doctor degree from the University of Lubumbashi, DRC (2002). He is a Certified Medical Doctor in DRC, Zambia and Malawi and has worked and lived there as a physician. Additionally, Dr. Luhere Mulume Jean Claude acquires a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC (2014). His thesis was based on the factors that lead to persistent malnutrition among children under five years old in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Dr. Jean Clause worked as Project Specialist and Community Educator Nutrition & Dietetics, at the Centers of the College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) of the University of the District of Columbia after his graduation. He implemented nutritional supplementary education on feeding programs. He also worked as Health and Nutrition Project Manager for Samaritan’s Purse International Relief in Democratic Republic of Congo managing and coordinating all the health and nutrition projects in the country.
